The mention of sandblasting conjures up visions of dense plumes of dust and dangerous silica sand. Dustless (vapor) blasting paints a very different picture.

The RCS process blasts with wet bio-degradable abrasive media (particles). The abrasive media is combined with water in a blasting pot which is then pressurized. Each blast particle is encapsulated in water adding extra weight to the particle which enlarges the impact of the blast media on the substrate. Resulting in smoother removal and feathering of the material and reduction in the amount of media being used. 

The water reduces the amount of splash back, but, most importantly, it traps the dust being produced and eliminates the dreaded plume of dust. Vapor blasting is 92% dust-free and uses 40% less blast media as compared to traditional sand blasting. When vapor blasting steel, a rust inhibitor is added to the process so the bare metal does not flash rust.
